Program note

This pieces consists of three little moments, each representing the music of one zone of Chile. The first moment represents the southern zone and it is based on the music of the Mapuche people. The second moment represents the central zone and it is a Cueca, Chile’s national dance. The last moment represents the northern zone and it is based on Andean music. —MBE
